SPB Electronics CC (“SPB”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and your rights. It covers this website only.

2. Information we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect the name, phone number, email address and message you provide. Our hosting also keeps standard technical logs (such as your IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running.

3. Why we use it

We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, give you a quote, arrange or carry out the work you ask about, and keep records of our dealings with you. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

4. Our lawful basis (POPIA)

We process your information with your consent, given when you submit the form, and where it is necessary to respond to you and provide our services.

5. Who we share it with

We share your information only where needed to run the service:

• Web3Forms, the service that delivers our contact-form submissions to us by email. They store submissions for up to 30 days, then delete them.
• KCS Security, our guarding partner, but only if your enquiry is about manned guarding.
• Service providers who help us operate the website, such as our hosting provider.

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.

6. How long we keep it

Contact-form submissions are stored by Web3Forms for up to 30 days. We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to meet our legal and business obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

7. How we protect it

The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection and form submissions are encrypted in transit. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, though no method of sending data over the internet is completely secure.

8. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not run third-party analytics or ad networks on it.

9. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
